What is the ‘Lock it’ trend on TikTok?
Set to Charlie XCX’s 2017 hit, Unlock It, TikTokers are taking part in a viral trend involving lip-synching and dancing.
Popular TikTok users such as @Devenityy and @amandadiaz have taken part in the trend, collecting 100k views each.
To do the challenge, TikTokers are lip-synching the lyrics to the chorus, which repeats the words ‘lock it’ several times. Users are also incorporating hand-motions or finger-gun motions into the dance.
When did the ‘Lock it’ trend begin?
Despite the song being released back in 2017, the ‘lock it’ trend has only come into swing in the last week or so.
