Snapchat seemed to have some technical issues on March 2nd as everyone’s Bitmoji’s were disappearing. Users took to Twitter to complain about the bizarre glitch and ask Snapchat for support.

Why did my Snapchat Bitmoji disappear?

On March 2nd 2021, the multimedia messaging app named Snapchat seemed to be having some technical issues.

The glitch unfortunately made user’s Bitmoji’s disappear.

A Bitmoji is your own personal emoji which is created on Snapchat.

You are able to personalise this creative cartoon avatar and it is then featured in various areas of the app, such as Snapchat maps, games, filters and much more!

Snapchat’s defect affected various users, many of which shared their experience on other social media platforms.

Twitter user named @vhswalsh shared a screenshot of their Snapcode which would usually include the Bitmoji.

Bitmoji’s were also disappearing from Snapchat maps!😱

@AmealiaKoury uploaded a screenshot of her Snap maps onto Twitter as she questioned Snapchat Support for help.

Snapchat are yet to confirm the reasoning for this particular malfunction, but it sure was strange…

Crazy Twitter responses

What better way to complain about Snapchat’s defect than to discuss the incident on Twitter? #LOL

@ilianaxmendez shared an image of a peculiar substance onto Twitter to joke that Snapchat’s Bitmoji failure will lead to the end of her life.

@RachelEleanor_ also informed Twitter of the disappearance of their Bitmoji by claiming that Snapchat performed some sort of magic to cause this.

However, some users aren’t so polite…

@mywasianass aggressively asked Snapchat where their Bitmoji has gone in a capitalised Tweet.

A user named @pecos_rooftops used their humour to address the situation by suggesting that their Bitmoji had passed away.

How did Snapchat help?

A Twitter account named @snapchatsupport replied to many of the complaining Tweets and offered various forms of help.

The team first of all began advising users to try logging out of their Snapchat account in order to revive their Bitmoji.

However, after realising that this did not work, they changed their advise.

@snapchatsupport replied to @AmealiaKoury‘s Tweet regarding the Snap maps incident by offering further support through direct messages.

They requested details on what seems to be happening so more help can be provided.

Another user responded to this assistance Tweet and stated that they should prepare for more of these confused messages.

@JE_SSpere12 claimed that they are now unable to recreate a Bitmoji on the app.
