What is a public profile on Snapchat?
Creating a public profile on Snapchat allows you to be discovered in the app, to connect with your customers, friends, or fans more easily. When using a public profile, you will have features that a private one don’t have, such as Public Stories, Showcasing lenses and highlights.
There is a small caveat: You can only use your public profile if you are over 18.
What steps are required to create a public profile?
First of all, open your Snapchat and go to your profile by hitting your bitmoji or profile picture. Next, you click on SETTINGS and then scroll down until you see the WHO CAN section on the top right of the page. Once you’re here, you enable CONTACT ME for everyone and VIEW MY STORY for everyone. You can leave SEE MY LOCATION to whatever you like. Finally, turn to SHOW ME IN QUICK ADD on.
Once you have done this, go back and press the three dots next to the ADD TO SNAP MAP, click on CREATIVE PUBLIC PROFILE. Next, you only need to press CONTINUE and GET STARTED. A dialogue box will come up and tell you what will happen when you create a public profile and inform you that you can edit or delete your public profile at any time. You have successfully created your public profile.
Isn’t it complicated? However, I believe that these manipulations will not make life difficult for millennials or Gen Z. If you have any questions, please leave them in the comments section below.
