The success of Snapchat can be credited to the dog filter that everyone was obsessed with just a couple of years ago. Now it is time for cats – and all thanks to a recent Zoom meeting video.

A court hearing was happening in Texas on a Zoom video call on 9th February 2021 and it took a hilarious turn when the attorney, Rod Ponton, came in with a cat filter turned on.

You will not believe what happens next.

The incident could have swayed either way, although it turned out great because of the wholesome and witty Judge Ferguson who was handling this case.

Ferguson (also the name of the cat in New Girl!) pointed out to the lawyer that a cat filter was on his face. Although you could hear the panic in the attorney’s voice when he replied that he and his assistant were trying to turn it off, the team ended up ploughing through with the meeting nonetheless.

This meeting was later uploaded by the Judge on Twitter with a funny caption saying “IMPORTANT ZOOM TIP: If a child used your computer before you join a virtual hearing check the Zoom Video Options to be sure filters are off. This kitten just made a formal announcement on a case in the 394th (sound on).”

Go to the app and swipe right to open the camera. Roll all the filter options until you get to the last option of “Browse effects”.

Tap on it and type “cat filters” in the search on the top right corner of the page. You will find more than 20 filters but not all of them are worth trying.

The ones that you should go for are the cat filters made by the users @filterigsaya, @daidai501, @filters_for_stories (if you want a virtual cat), @storiesby.alan (if you just want the cat eyes), or the one by @filterstotopos (to show your love for cats).
