TikTok is bringing trivia to increase and engage its users. But some are confused about what trivia is and how one can participate in it.
Do you want to earn money? But you know you are using too much of your time just meaninglessly scrolling on your phone. Well then try your luck on the upcoming TikTok Trivia, where you can play a few games and have the opportunity to make money out of it.
In collaboration with Lionsgate- a famous film company that gave us The Hunger Games and John Wick- TikTok will be hosting a 5-day trivia that will begin on February 22. This won’t be the first time this social media app does something like this.
Since 2020, TikTok has occasionally collaborated with entertainment events like Eurovision to increase its user base and bring together its global community. The upcoming trivia will be an immersive experience, which will test the user’s knowledge on a variety of topics like films, sports, and music. The whole five-day event has a pool of $500k, which will be divided amongst the winners.
To participate, search for #TikTokTrivia on your feed and register on the trivia widget. There is a set schedule for the games. From February 22 to February 24, there will be two sessions. One will be from 8-9 p.m. ET and another from 9-10 p.m. ET. Also, this trivia is only open to individuals older than 18.
The test will be of multiple choice questions. You need to get every single question right to proceed to the next round. Sounds a bit daunting, but it won’t harm to try your luck.
How to get rid of trivia on TikTok?
If you come across any videos related to trivia on your For You page, you can remove or limit seeing them by long-pressing on the video and then clicking on the Not Interested icon. It is completely okay to not participate in the event.
TikTok is considerate of what kind of content its viewers want to see. There are many options like clicking on the not interested icon to restricting content from account settings that will enable you to free your feed from anything you do not wish to see.
