Many people don’t know why the TikTok content creator Orlando is trending on Sky News. The answer may surprise you. Let’s dive in!
TikTok is one of the world’s leading social media platforms. Therefore, it’s not surprising that TikTok influencers make the news every so often.
However, the internet being what it is, news can sometimes be misleading. Such is the story of Orlando, the TikTok content creator who seemingly made it to Sky News recently. So, who is Orlando, and why is he on the news?
Who is Orlando on TikTok?
Orlando (@orlandokyng) is a prominent TikTok influencer basing his content on trolling other netizens with unbelievable stories. His stories are purposely over-the-top and ambiguous for comedic relief.
Recently, Orlando posted a TikTok story supposedly containing a screenshot of an official Sky news article. The headline read thus: “Orlando: TikTok creator fights off five men who showed up to his house, beating them all and leaving several injured.” According to the article, they invaded his home because he leaked vital information on ‘Looksmaxxing.’
However, the article was fake, but there was some truth to it. There was no home invasion, though Orlando did leak information about Looksmaxing, which attracted polarized reactions. So what is Looksmaxing, and why did it lead to a fake Sky News article?
The truth behind Orlando’s Sky News article
The Looksmaxing controversy started when another TikTok content creator, ‘@dillon.latham’, posted about it. The beauty and style influencer posted a video discussing Looksmax.org, a niche men’s beauty website. According to @dillon.latham, Looksmaxing is a way for men to enhance their aesthetic appeal. And apparently, the website contained hidden secrets about Looksmaxing.
However, many people in the Looksmaxing community did not appreciate this reveal. In the video below, a TikTok model shows his discontent with Dillon for leaking the information.
Eventually, radicals in the Looksmaxing community leaked Dillon’s private information, including his address, and sent him death threats. Watch the video below for more context.
However, this controversy enticed Orlando. He purposely leaked even more Looksmaxing information in this viral video.
Unsurprisingly, the Looksmax gatekeepers didn’t take too kindly to his video. They soon leaked his home address, and he also started receiving death threats.
In typical fashion, Orlando trolled the radical Looksmax community. In this TikTok stitch, he seemingly sends an invite to the same radicals who threatened Dillon.
Here is another video of Orlando making fun of the Looksmax trolls. He insists that he’s ready for them whenever they decide to visit him at home.
The viral Sky News article is Orlando’s latest tease, but you may have surmised that by now. He edited the fake article to infuriate his opposition further while hinting at what’s bound to happen should they follow through on their threats. So far, his trolling seems to be working.
What do you think about the Orlando TikTok drama? Will he ever be free of the Looksmaxx community, or — more accurately — will they ever be free of him?
