A new filter has become big on TikTok that lets you turn any random object into a funny and cool animated character. Have you ever wondered what items around you, would look like as a cartoon character?

There have been similar filters on TikTok, such as the anime filter – which went viral a couple of months ago and very recently there’s a Snapchat filter that makes you look like a Disney character!

However, this latest TikTok cartoonize filter isn’t about changing a person appearance into an animation character but turning real-life objects into cool and funny cartoons.

How does the Cartoonize Filter work?

The Cartoonize Filter is straightforward and easy. All you need is the latest update on your smartphone and a decent-sized object, that you think would look good as a cartoon.

Just point the camera at the object – and it should come to life. Usually, it will have eyes, arms and legs – and start jumping around almost like an actual crazy cartoon character.

How to get the Cartoonize Filter on TikTok

Step 1. Open TikTok and make sure you’ve updated your app to the latest version. Click the plus sign to create a new video

Step 2. Click the effects icon on the bottom left-hand side, next to the capture button and then press trending

Step 2. Scroll through the filters until you see the cartoonize filter. It should be a small animation icon that looks like this:

Step 4. Click on the filter and point it at an object. You should see it grow legs, arms and have eyes. This works best on small or medium-sized objects, but just be creative!
