Bam Margera, star of Jackass, has officially left the hospital after thanking fans for their “prayers” during his scary pneumonia health scare. The stuntman, 43, appears to be on the mend after a brief stint with paramedics following a bout with the coronavirus.
His team issued an update on his health just days after he arrived in the hospital, saying, “He is now testing negative for COVID and receiving care for pneumonia.”
Bam is on the mend and, thankfully, will be discharged soon.” Now, he appears to be overjoyed to announce that he is “out” of the hospital, sharing a sweet photo with a friend and thanking his followers.
He posted this on Instagram: “I’m out! Thank you for your love, support, and prayers, as well as those of my friends and family.” When he was admitted to the hospital in San Diego earlier this week, fans took to Twitter to send their best wishes to the stunt performer.
“I’m wishing Bam Margera a quick and speedy recovery,” one person tweeted. Bam’s health is said to be stable. Another person stated: “Pray for Bam Margera, I hope you get better soon,” said another, while another added, “Awww man, poor @BAM MARGERA.” I hope he starts feeling better soon! I am praying for his family.”
Pneumonia is a bacterial or viral infection that causes swelling of the tissue in one or both lungs.
Coughing, difficulty breathing, a high temperature, and a rapid heartbeat are all symptoms that can appear suddenly. Over the past year, the TV personality has been in and out of rehab facilities as he completed a one-year treatment program for drug and alcohol abuse.
Bam was reported missing in June after fleeing a Florida rehab center. Police sent out a search party after he reportedly fled the rehabilitation center, and at the time, his rehab manager reported the star missing after he told staff at the center that he was ‘unhappy’ with the place and ‘their services.
After Bam was discovered, fans began to speculate about his well-being, wondering whether the much-loved star had been placed under conservatorship by his family.

Later, Bam’s family issued a statement denying that he is under conservatorship. “It’s no secret that Bam has struggled with mental health and addiction,” they wrote on Instagram. You’ve seen Ban grow up and have been there for him through his ups and downs.” Our family has welcomed you into the chaos that is our home, and we would love to continue this journey with you.” The statement went on to criticize the ‘Free Bam’ movement, saying it had ’caused confusion and threat to Bam’ and his family.
