Fitness guru, Andy Frisella, created the 75 Hard Challenge on Instagram. With this challenge, he wanted to show people how 75 days straight of discipline could impact a person’s life. He encourages people to take complete control of their life and stop making excuses.
75Hard is an extreme 75-day mental and physical challenge designed with these five main pillars:
- Staying hydrated by drinking one gallon of water a day.
- Strict diet adherence with no alcohol drinking.
- Increased physical activity through 45 minutes workout twice a day: one outdoor and one indoor workout.
- Reading ten pages of nonfiction a day.
- Taking transformation photos to stay motivated.
So the question is, is it effective? You’ll find the answer below.
Jenny Whales after completing the 75 Hard challenge on Instagram.
“While I’m so happy and proud of my exterior results, I’m even prouder of how I feel inside. The grit, determination, perseverance and discipline to keep at it despite how exhausted or how inconvenient it was at times only proved to me that I CAN and I WILL, for myself. To be better for myself and in turn my family. And to lead by example.”
In the last 75 days Jenny Whales exercised 115+ hours, lost 19 pounds, shed 12.5 inches around her waist, read 750+ pages of inspiring books, stuck to a healthy diet with no sugar, did not drink liquor or refined carbs and drank 75 gallons of water
Ashley Wiens promotes the 75 Hard challenge on Instagram
“Excellence is won by training and habitation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but rather have those because we have acted rightly. WE ARE WHAT WE REPEATEDLY DO! Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.”
Danielle Keene finished the 75 Hard challenge on Instagram
“We have two voices in our head the bitch voice and boss voice. My bitch voice used to feed me excuses and talk me out of achieving the goals I set for my self. Now my boss voice roars so loud she’s all I hear. No fucking excuses. No shortcuts to achieve your goals you have to do the hard shit. There are no shortcuts in life so when you feel that burn you keep running towards the fire. That’s how you get stronger.”
Madeline believes in the 75 Hard challenge on Instagram
“I have been having to remind myself to “do it tired” today. It’s been a hard one, motivation was lacking, but I pushed through the day and got everything done!
Even on your rough days remember…You can do hard things”
Guessing the answers are clear. This challenge is effective only if you dismiss all excuses and let the boss inside conquer you. How about you? When will you start your #75hardchallenge?
