Famous video game streamer on Twitch Rich Campbell resigned from OTK after sexual assault allegations against him came out on Twitter.
Recently, a famous video game streamer on Twitch with a significant following on Instagram and Twitter resigned from his position at One True Kings (OTK) after a girl accused him of sexual assault on Twitter.
@Azalialexi is also a streamer on Twitch. She has around 1000 followers on Twitter. On Dec 16, she posted a link on Twitter that contained a long paragraph describing her relationship with Campbell. She accused him of using her body for sex and viewing her as a sexual object only, even when she was emotionally invested in their four-year-long friendship/relationship.
She said that throughout the four years they were never totally committed. It was more like an on-and-off thing. But whenever she got into a new relationship Campbell reached out to her to try and get back.
But the assault happened when one night she went to Campbell’s apartment in Williamsburg to spend time with him in the building’s movie theater. She had already made clear to him that she will not be going inside his room. She said this because she had already decided to stop having any physical relationship with him.
But after some time in the theater, Campbell repeatedly tried to make her lay on top of her. But she kept on resisting and told him “ I’m not here to sleep with you and I do not want that.” To this, Campbell replied, “I think tonight is the last time I’m going to ever see you”.
Afterward, Campbell somehow convinced her to go inside his room, but allegedly promised that he would respect her boundaries. But inside the room, he tried to undress her and then forcefully had s*x with her. After this, he told her to leave the room immediately.
