What is the Chapstick Challenge on TikTok?
Remember the Chapstick Challenge on YouTube a while back? It’s pretty much the same thing, but on TikTok.
The challenge is usually completed as a couple where one wears a particular flavour of chapstick and the other guesses what it is whilst blindfolded, by taste and smell alone. YouTube stars such as Joey Graceffa, Wassabi, and Colleen Ballinger attempted this challenge around four years ago, attracting millions of views each.
How has the Chapstick Challenge resurfaced?
Recently, many have been attempting this challenge – but on TikTok. It may have been inspired by all the chapstick-related trends.
For example, #chapstickaddiction currently has over 21 million views on TikTok. Others have made prank videos of their partners, changing the colour of their Chapstick to a more permanent one, with the excuse “your lips look crusty.”
