    After the UK announcing the roll out of the Covid-19 vaccination, many people online have been expressing concerns about how quickly the vaccine has been made and if it is reliable or safe.

    Dr. Anna Blakney is a bioengineer at Imperial College London, where she is developing a vaccine for Covid-19, she has recently taken to TikTok to share information about the vaccine.

    Who is Dr Anna Blakney?

    Dr Anna is 30 years old and she is part of the vaccine development team at Imperial College London, as part of a new campaign called Team Halo scientists are going to be informing people through apps like TikTok and Instagram on the real facts about vaccines.

    The scheme has been backed by the United Nations’ Verified initiative, as well as the Vaccine Confidence Project and Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance.

    She has over 200 thousand followers on TikTok and 2.8 million likes.

    Her videos make finding out about the new vaccine more fun and she helps debunk people’s fears about it!

    She often uses the #learnonTikTok hashtag to encourage using the platform as an educational tool.

    She covers everything from showing how the vaccine is being developed to answering people’s questions.

    Many people are worried about the side effects of the vaccine so she created a video covering all the side effects to make people feel more at ease.
