    4 Tips for instant migraine relief

    1. Diet: Diet is a crucial aspect of our lives. What we eat always reflects on our mental and physical health. For individuals with migraine, it is important to be mindful of what they are eating because most times specific foods tend to trigger migraine.

    Processed meats, alcohol, chocolate, and caffeine are foods known to trigger migraines. However, these foods vary across individuals, so observe what you eat throughout the day every time you have a migraine.

    2. Acupressure: Acupressure is a known technique that reduces headaches by applying pressure to certain parts of the body for a few minutes. It is advisable to hire a professional, who can do this for you in the beginning.

    3. Compresses: Many people find cold or warm compresses useful in alleviating pain. This is a very simple tip, where you can just put a heating pad or an ice pack on your head to reduce the pain.

    Combine this by lying down in a calm and quiet room with no bright light so that you can relax. 

    4. Drink water: For some individuals, dehydration can be a huge migraine trigger. Consequently, when you start feeling your migraine it is advisable to drink water and lie down in a silent room, where no one can disturb you.
