Sentina Collichio posted a video of her sister Brianna singing on TikTok, and the young girl told her that if it goes viral, she will audition for American Idol. The video went viral and has over two million views, but the eve Brianna was going to audition for the talent show, she had complications with her health and was rushed to the hospital. Luckily, she was able to reschedule and audition for American Idol on March 14th, 2021.
Who is Brianna Collichio?
Brianna Collichio is a 15-year-old musician from Spencerport, New York, US.
She has been performing publicly since the age of six and started posting singing videos on TikTok in 2020, after her video singing “Scars To Your Beautiful” went viral on the platform.
She currently has 15k followers on TikTok and 3k on Instagram.

For the youth of her age, Brianna has been through a lot of hardships, but she chooses to stand strong.
Brianna was diagnosed at birth with a disease called “cystic fibrosis,” which affects mainly the lungs and made Brianna prone to chronic lung infections.
The disease is known for scarring the lungs, but in Brianna’s case, her lungs aren’t scarred, and her voice isn’t raspy, but in contrast very beautiful.
Brianna has released three songs so far: “On My Hands,” “Glow In The Dark,” and “Never Let Me Down.”
Being in and out of hospitals, Brianna’s kind personality has helped her become friends with doctors and nurses.
A video of her singing with a nurse after her surgery has gone viral after her American Idol audition, and people are inspired by the courage of the young singer.
Brianna Collichio auditions for American Idol
On March 14th, Brianna Collichio auditioned for American Idol and left the judges speechless and the audience emotional.
Brianna shared her story with judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan: “The eve of my audition, I collapsed. Right before my surgery, I got a call from my sister, and she told me we were able to reschedule the audition. I have faith, if I didn’t have faith, I wouldn’t be here right now. I want to inspire people, that’s why I’m here.”
She sang “Scars To Your Beautiful” and all three judges voted Brianna through to Hollywood.
Lionel Richie thanked the teen for her bravery and Katy Perry called her “the walking miracle.”
