TikTok is home to many viral videos. Most of these videos start a certain trend on the app that entertains users or makes them laugh. But the current viral video does not belong to this category, as it is leaving viewers creeped out.
The current viral video shows a woman dancing on a street at night, while a spooky sound plays in the background. The video was shared on the platform by @aatec13 earlier this year with the caption “Be careful guys” and hashtags #dancingladyserbia and #horror. Since then the video has gained around 80 million views.
This footage is not a recent one, rather it surfaced in 2019 when people from the Belgrade municipality of Zvezdare reported to local authorities a lady roaming on roads with a knife and threatening people.
This urban legend was created when a woman wearing a national dress was spotted by people roaming on a street near a hospital and was holding a knife. The woman seemed mentally ill and people were concerned that she would attack women and children coming out of the hospital. But the woman was never caught and we do not know what other actions were taken to take care of the situation.
Netizens upon seeing the viral video made the quick connection that this lady must be the Serbian dancing lady that was heard about in 2019. While some are seriously spooked out by the woman, others jumped at the opportunity of creating funny memes out of this video.
