The “what did Covid do to you” is the latest TikTok challenge, as users reflect on their Covid experience. Here’s how to join the trend!
Regardless of your background, age, gender, social class or nationality, Covid-19 has undoubtedly impacted your life; some more, others less.
This year has been a rollercoaster ride, to say the least, and as we are approaching the ending of it, people are taking the time to reminisce and reflect on how Covid-19 has impacted them creating a TikTok challenge.
What is the “what did covid do to you” trend?
At the beginning of the year, we went on TikTok to get away from this bizarre situation, entertain ourselves and spread positivity while staying indoors.
Towards the end of the year, people are using TikTok to share how Covid-19 has affected their lives; the “what did covid do to you” challenge has gone viral.
TikTok users have been putting together a series of photos that show their life during the pandemic and reveal the “symptoms” Covid has had to them.
Most people have been following the same pattern by posting three photos: one from the last day of school, one during May and a current one. However, it is up to you whether you want to follow what the sticker suggests.
How to find the “what did covid do to you”
To do the challenge, TikTok users think there’s a specific sticker, but the truth is that it’s optional and you’ll actually have to create the sticker yourself by using an effect called Green Screen.
- Firstly, head to Google, search for the “what did covid do to you” image and save it to your camera roll or just screenshot the tweet below.
- Then, open the TikTok app and click on the “create” button at the bottom centre of the screen.
- Click on “effects” left of the record button, press the “Green Screen” category.
- Finally, choose the filter that allows you to put a small photo on your screen and choose the photo/sticker you saved in the beginning.
