A 21-year-old rapper from Detroit, Curtis Roach is the voice behind the trending TikTok sound ‘bored in the house’. With a 2 million follower fan-base on the app, the rapper was messing around during lockdown singing about being bored in the house… although that quickly translated into 46.2 million views and 4.2 million recreations!
Curtis is well known for his catchy beats when messing around drumming his hands to a catchy tune about being bored in the house. Although he didn’t expect to gain the reaction from TikTok that he received when posting the 20-second clip.
Curtis tells Metro times:
“I didn’t see that coming at all, I was really bored in the house. I think at that point we all were losing our minds a bit, so this catchy tune gave TikTok creators a way to make being bored in the house more entertaining by dancing and singing along to the catchy tune.”
