TikTok has introduced a stitch feature that allows you to use other people’s videos with your own, will you be trying it out?
Another way to spark creativity has been introduced on TikTok – with a feature called stitch, and it has absolutely nothing to do with fabrics! Keep reading as we explore what this feature is, how to use it, and the stitch feature in action!
What is the stitch feature on TikTok?
The stitch feature on TikTok allows creators to take snippets (from 1-5 seconds) from other people’s videos and stitch them into their own!
Stitch is similar to Duetting, however instead of appearing next to each other, they’ll be in the same video!
It’s great because you can use your favourite videos with your own, whilst still having credit of the video!
#Stitch has 252.2 Billion views on TikTok, so the feature has been a huge success and is loved by TikTok users!
You may be thinking ‘but I don’t want people to stitch my videos’, well good news! You can choose in your settings whether you want to allow people to stitch your videos, or not.
This feature has been available on the app since September 2020, but not everybody knows how you can use it…
How to use the stitch feature
If you’re wondering how you can stitch your favourite TikToks with your own, here’s how!
- First head over to the creators TikTok video you want to use
- Click the share option
- Then click Stitch
- Choose whichever part of their video you want to use
- Click next
- Then you should see a red line at the top (which is the part of somebody’s video which you have chosen)
- Shoot your part of the video
- And you’re done – enjoy stitching!
