The Strawberry TikTok trend is giving lovers a run for their money. If your romantic partner is an internet user, keep reading to know more.

Who would’ve thought that strawberries would be a way to measure faithfulness in 2023? Not us, and probably not you either, but here we are.

The Strawberry TikTok trend — also known as the Strawberry question trend — is a rising fad among GenZ and millennial netizens. It involves asking a series of theoretical questions to one’s significant other. The essence is to gauge a partner’s willingness, capacity, and ability to cheat.

The partner’s reply to the first question — “If you were hungry and came across a strawberry farm, would you pick any?” — determines whether or not to ask more questions.

The Strawberry TikTok trend is dividing the internet

The Strawberry trend has many people convinced, like this Twitter user who got upset at her boyfriend for not passing the test.

I just did the strawberry question trend on my bf & now im pissed. Lmao gn🤣🤣

    — Lessley👑 (@Lifeaslessley) January 22, 2022

However, just as many are equally confused. The main issue with this question trend is what any part of it has to do with someone’s potential to cheat.

Can someone explain the strawberry question trend on Tik Tok. How does eating strawberries make him a cheater?? Help 😭😭

i don’t understand the strawberry field question trend on tiktok…. how does eating strawberries = cheating i don’t get it

    — monica hope (@monniehope) November 22, 2022

Of course, no valid psychological backing supporting this trend exists, but that hasn’t stopped it from blowing up. Today, the hashtag #strawberryquestion has garnered over 79 million views on TikTok.

The Strawberry question is hardly the first of its kind, as any regular TikTok user would know. Trends such as the ‘If I was a worm, would you still date me?‘ and ‘5,4,3,2,1 questions‘ challenges have trended in the past with a similar effect on romantic relationships.

Here is a hilarious instance of the Strawberry trend. And it even has an ominous soundtrack to boot.

The Strawberry question may seem unreal to some, but where there are relationships, there will always be peculiar internet trends such as this. And while they might be a quirky way to tease your partner, you probably shouldn’t take them seriously.

What do you think about the Strawberry TikTok trend? Could it be a valid way to test your partner or not?
