Cilbelly Ferreira, an English teacher, was recently fired from her job for posting dance videos with her students in a classroom on TikTok.
The TikTok craze does not seem to end. Now it has also entered classrooms, where teachers can not stop themselves from recording their activities to post on the social media site. Cilbelly Ferreira, an English teacher at an unnamed school, did not realize that her videos would cost her the job.
However, teaching is not the only source of income for Ferreira. Rather, she has more than 9 million followers on her TikTok and also has accounts on sites like OnlyFans and PornHub. According to Ferreira, “The school gives me a safe and stable place. However, my content on social networks pays me much more.”
For Ferreira, her attempt at dancing with her students was to engage them in an activity of their liking to increase their focus and productivity. She said, “One of my students invited me to dance with him and the class enjoyed the interaction, after that the other students began to ask questions too and I took advantage of the interaction and interest of the students to apply my classes with more quality because the students are more interested and excited. So I use it as a form of bonus.”

She also has been coming under the fire for wearing short dresses and crop tops during her classes. While some individuals think that she is free to wear whatever she wants in a classroom setting, another group directs that teachers should adhere to a dress code.
Upon receiving criticism for her adoption of dual roles of being a teacher and having a presence on OnlyFans and PornHub, she said “As an adult woman who needed an extra income, I looked for other forms of monetization. My mother, for example, knows this and accepts it very well. Even every woman should feel free and fulfilled with her body.”
