Customers kept recognizing an OnlyFans star from spicy videos she’d posted online, so she was fired from her job at an amusement park.
If you have the assets and platform to grow, starting an OnlyFans account is a great way to make a nice chunk of cash, but countless women have put their regular jobs at risk in the hopes of a big payday.
Ilaria Rimoldi, who worked at Italy’s Gardaland Resort for two seasons before bosses became concerned about how many customers knew about her side hustle, is the latest victim of OnlyFans’ success. According to Corriere Della Sera, the OF star’s pay was only around $1,000, which didn’t allow her to afford rent, groceries, and other necessities, so she turned to the adult platform.
OnlyFans content resulted in the termination of an amusement park employee
Rimoldi may only have 300 subscribers, but by November, she was earning more than $5,000 per month. That success, however, was fleeting. Although management initially approved of her content, this changed as her popularity grew, causing them to change their minds.
Rimoldi claims that after five or six visitors recognized her, she met with two managers and a staff director, who informed her that “without being rude, they pointed out to me that Gardaland is a facility for families and that those photos don’t match the image of the park.”
When Rimoldi requested that the park pay her the same as she does for OF, they refused, so she ended up sticking with her secondary job because it paid her more.
“As part of the company’s policies, employees are asked, for their own digital activities, to avoid the misuse of Gardaland’s logos or images that are not in line with the amusement park’s family-oriented vocation,” the park explained in a statement. Rimoldi is far from the first employee fired as a result of OnlyFans. Earlier this year, a nurse was fired after her coworkers refused to stop watching her work-related content.
A science teacher was fired last month after students discovered her filming OnlyFans videos in their classroom with her husband. She was later barred from the platform and has had to resort to selling her used lingerie to make ends meet.
