A mother was arrested at Miami international airport after she furiously threw a monitor at an American Airlines worker.
It is not a surprise that airports are usually crowded during this time of the year. Both travelers and employees face various issues while traveling, but no one loses their temper as this one mother did at Miami International airport.
A 25-year-old woman named Camilia McMillie, who was transiting through Miami while traveling to New York, was arrested on Tuesday for throwing a monitor screen at a ticket counter employee. She also pulled other equipment like the boarding pass reader and caused the authorities around $10,000 in damage.
She now faces charges of aggravated battery, criminal mischief, and disorderly conduct. Her bond is set to $4500.
Many videos of the woman surfaced on TikTok and Twitter, where she was seen shouting and hurling abuses at employees while destroying expensive property. Everyone around her just stared at her in disbelief.
It is reported that McMillie, who is an Alabama native, was traveling with her children. The children dispersed for a few moments to use the restroom. When McMillie could not find her children in sight, she started screaming at the authorities and ordered them to find her children.

American Airlines gave a statement to Insider and said that they will not tolerate disrespect and assault towards their workers. They further added, “Our thoughts are with our team member, and we are ensuring they have the support they need at this time.”
The behavior exhibited by the women was quite outrageous and layered with power dynamics. She shouted and assaulted the worker thinking about what possibly could the worker do in response since he will not put his job at risk. She might not have acted this way if she was facing someone who was in a powerful position.
